SciGirls STEM Camp

Mondays beginning June 19, 4:00 – 5:30 pm, Downtown

SciGirls is an award-winning PBS Kids show that
encourages tween girls and boys (ages 8-12) in science, technology, engineering and mathematics or STEM. Each episode follows a group of middle school girls who are eager to find answers to their questions while inspiring children to explore the world around them and discover that science and technology are
everywhere. The girls, with the help of scientific mentors, design their own investigations on topics ranging from the environment to engineering and nutrition. The show’s website is integrated into the
episodes with archived projects from the site being featured on the show. During SciGirls Camp at the library, we will watch an
episode of the SciGirls show and follow it with activities
related to engineering, citizen science, and other
STEM topics.

Registration is encouraged and is
limited to 20 participants.
